Full Description:
Our driver & guide will pick you up at 10:00 from the Port of Kavala. We will start our tour with a visit to Costa Lazaridi Estate. Since the 70’s, Costa Lazaridi deeply believed that his homeland can produce high quality wines, able to compete in the world stage and turn Drama into a City of Wine. This conviction became the vision of the company and is reinforced by the confirmation of specialists and consumers. The Estate includes a 15.000 square metre building with a winery, a distillery, underground ageing cellars and areas for the reception of visitors apart from the vineyards. The grape varieties grown by the estate are for White; Malagouzia, Assyrtiko, Chardonnay, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and for Red; Agiorgitiko, Refosco, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. On the second part of our tour, we will visit Oenogenesis Estate also located in Adriani region. The Estate is a large 4,000 sqm castle-house, inspired architecturally by the Old Macedonian Mansions. It can be defined as a perfect combination of innovation and tradition with its respect for people, the landscape and the environment. Respect for the environment, the flora and the fauna of the area, are the inviolable rules for the estate. The varieties grown are Greek: Assyrtiko, Malagousia, Xinomavro, Moschato, and the ´international´ Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Ugni Blanc, Viogner, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet France and Merlot. Expected arrival time at the Port of Kavala is 14:30 hrs.

Our driver and guide will pick you up at 10:00 from the Port of Kavala. We will start our tour with a visit to Nico Lazaridi estate. Nico Lazaridi, never hid his love for the field of wine, a love that grew to become a business activity. His journey to the magical world of wine lasted more than two decades and led him, in 1987, to the creation of the Nico Lazaridi Winery. With a state-of-the-art winery, it produces modern wines with emphasis on the international varieties; Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Ugni Blanc (Trebbiano), Chardonnay, Muscat of Alexandria as whites and Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Grenache Rouge, Sangiovese as reds. During your visit, you can also explore the works of Greek and foreign artists at the art gallery “Magic Mountain”.
